Servergraph Extends Enterprise Backup Reporting and
Management Solution
Latest Release Adds Legato Networker and Expands Veritas Netbackup
Support
Chicago – May 25, 2005 — Servergraph
Inc. (www.servergraph.com), an
Austin-based developer of Web-based storage management applications,
today announced the availability of the new version of its software that
manages and automates complex backup environments. Servergraph 4.0
dramatically expands the company's market presence by adding support for
Legato NetWorkerTM and expanding coverage for Veritas NetBackupTM,
giving Servergraph the ability to integrate seamlessly with more than 80
percent of corporate storage systems in use today. Servergraph 4.0 is
available on Linux, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and Windows operating
systems.
Servergraph's storage management applications are currently used by
nearly 200 Global 2000 companies. The company was recently acquired by
Rocket Software (www.rocketsoftware.com), a
Boston-based developer of Enterprise Infrastructure products.
Servergraph 4.0 delivers powerful features for storage administrators
and operators to boost productivity and overall reliability. Servergraph
is based on agentless technology that does not require deployment of
client software. Servergraph contains critical features for managing
backup environments that allow administrators to:
- Find missed backups
- Prevent missed backups
- Predict outages in advance
- Spot performance bottlenecks
- Rapidly tune backup servers
- Find storage abusers
- Share administrator knowledge
- Charge for storage use
"Servergraph is agentless reporting and analysis software that can
pay for itself in a very short period of time," according to Jim
Reichardt, Vice President of Consulting Services for More Group Inc., a
leading integrator of backup and recovery solutions. "Successful
enterprise backup requires the correct operation of networks, storage
servers, disk arrays, tape libraries, and human intervention.
Servergraph helps our customers manage their entire data management
system proactively to achieve their goal of 100 percent backup success.
This latest release provides a powerful tool to manage heterogeneous
backup environments from a single console. That's powerful."
